This Word of Dim Sum:
"Dim Sum", one of our specialties, has no equal, and therefore, cannot be translated into English.  In a sense, Dim Sum could be considered an authentic Chinese breakfast or lunch.  A few items together can constitute a tasty varied meal, or they can be eaten as appetizers, or even as a dessert.  Dim Sum, at best, can be loosely translated as pastries, delicacies, hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, tidbits, and ambrosia collectively. In fact, it is an art, and a culture all by itself.  Dim Sum is a collective name of tens (or even hundreds) of kinds of dainty delicacies indigenous of China, relished and sought after by epicurean the world over.
